Dolt, The Database for AI Agents Video

With most databases, you have to choose: let agents write and risk bad data, or block writes and limit agents to just reading data.

What Dolt Does Differently#

In Dolt, every agent gets its own branch. Writes are isolated until you review and merge them. Live data only changes when you approve it.

When something goes wrong, you can review the diff and roll back just the changes you don’t want, without guesswork or data loss.

Why This Matters for Agentic Systems#

  • Multiple agents can write simultaneously surfacing conflicts.
  • Every change is auditable by default.
  • Bad writes are reviewable before they matter.
  • Rolling back is surgical, not destructive.

See It in Practice#

In our new AI overview video, we show how branching enables agentic workflows by isolating agent writes, running multiple agents in parallel, and catching mistakes before they reach production.

Get Started#

Dolt is free and open source on GitHub. If you have any questions about getting started, join the Discord, and we will be happy to help. If you would like to dive right in, check out this walkthrough: Getting Started with Dolt and Claude.

PS. If you’re part of the Dolt community, you’ve probably seen our Vibe Code vs. Trad Code jokes. I am proud to present a totally trad art video for our agentic content.

No AI was used in the making of this video. Ironic, I know, because it’s about AI.
